Hello and thank you for visiting my electronic portfolio!
My name is Therese Claxton and I am a recent graduate of the Boston University School of Public Health with a Master's Degree in Public Health. While at studying at BU, I concentrated in both Maternal and Child Health and Social and Behavioral Health, both of which fall under the Department of Community Health Sciences. I am particularly interested in working to improve the health of both mothers and children by improving community health and structural resources (such as food access, improvement of public spaces, transport, education, housing, etc).
On this website you will find examples of my coursework and how it fits into public health practice and research. You will also find a description of my recent practicum at Roca based in Chelsea, MA, as well other projects that will help you to better understand my experience, interests, and skills.
